I have been waiting for this wedding for a long time! Lauren contacted me about shooting her wedding and then we realized that I work with Owen! Small world and a perfect match!!! Their wedding was everything I knew it would be...gorgeous and classic!
Briana and Aaron had the perfect weather for their big day! It was so wonderful to see all of their friends and family come together to celebrate their love! The Wyndham was set up gorgeously, as always!
We could not have had better weather for this session! It wasn't too hot, it wasn't too windy, the sun was out...it was perfect! Just like these two! Take a look for yourself!
This was yet another wedding where rain threatened to ruin the day. Rachel and Mike got lucky though and the rain was nowhere in site on their big day!! They were married in front of family and friends on Mike's parents' property in Pungo. Their details were gorgeous, their bridal party was gorgeous, and of course, the two of them were gorgeous!!!
This weather we've been having in Virginia has not been fun when it comes to weddings! Sheri and Patrick got married on the beach and they were so lucky because it had been raining for days but it stopped just in time for Sheri to walk down the aisle with her dad and then the sun came out just in time for them to take their vows!
f you remember, a few months back I launched my new business name along with all new branding. Well, part of that launch was an Instagram giveaway (you can follow me on insta here). I did a random drawing and gave away a Love Session. These two were the winners and I'm so happy it was them! They chose to have their session in the Art District in downtown Norfolk...probably my favorite place to shoot!! I mean, if you look at my About Me page all of the pictures are from the Art District!
Heather rocked out her labor with John by her side. It was so amazing to watch him support his wife as she was laboring to bring the final piece of their family into this world. This was such an amazing thing to witness. Heather, I am so proud of you, booface! Sailor is perfect!!
I'M 30 BITCHES!!!
You guys...I am freaking stoked that I'm 30!
Sheri is one of my May brides and since she lives out of town and we won't be able to schedule an engagement session I attended her bridal shower to take some pictures there. I was so surprised and happy about the Disney theme! Her maid of honor did an amazing job of putting together all of the Minnie Mouse touches!
My partner in crime is having a baby GIRL!!!!! I cannot wait for her arrival in less than a month!!!! The shower was so perfect for little miss Sailor! So much PINK!
A few weeks ago my family was invited to the shipyard that my dad has worked at since he moved here 24 years ago to celebrate his promotion to Superintendent. To say my dad has worked his ass off for this position over the years would be an understatement. He worked in the shipyard in Philly before he transferred as a temporary employee to Virginia Beach to be with my mom, my sister, and I. They were soon married and my next younger sister and my little brother weren't far behind. My dad knew he couldn't remain a temporary employee so to become a permanent employee he entered the apprenticeship program and graduated with honors...no shocker there! He was also working as many overtime hours as he could at this time. This meant he wasn't home much while we were awake but he and my mom worked their butts off to send us all to private school and make sure we wanted for nothing. A couple years later he was promoted to supervisor. And now, Superintendent.
You would think that after a week of sunny and 75 degree weather that we would have had a perfect day for this session. Nope! It was 50 degrees and windy and cloudy! Heather was a trooper though! She doesn't look cold at all!!
Heather is pregnant with her second baby...a little girl this time...and she is ROCKING this pregnancy! Just take a look for yourself!
You guys know that I shoot events for the local philanthropic group, Beach Ambassadors. Well, they've truly outdone themselves this time! This past weekend they held an event called Mixed. Five local bars agreed to compete in this event and each chose a charity to donate to if their bar won. They were each given a random spirit and mystery box of ingredients and they had to create a cocktail to showcase in the event. Each guest was able to drink each concoction from each bar and then they voted for their favorite.
Niki is like a 3rd sister to me and I just couldn't wait to get her and Jordan in front of my camera! We took advantage of him being home to sneak in a quick session. They're just so pretty!!
When I shot my cousin's Anniversary Session last fall (you can see it HERE) she asked me if I could also take some pictures for a different reason...they are expecting their first baby!! I had to keep it quiet and it was so damn hard because I'm freaking excited for them!! At the end of their Anniversary Session they let the pups out of the car and brought out the little baby Chucks!
You guys! This was my first session in Downtown Norfolk and I have to tell you...I'm in love! There's a whole different side of Downtown that I never knew about!! I feel like we were transported to a different city all together! Not to mention these two are crazy about each other! Devin knew she wanted the sunset at Town Point Park in her pictures and she definitely got that!
This post is about a month late but what better time to post a Star Wars themed party then the opening weekend of the new Star Wars movie?!
This was a fun family session! Three generations in one shoot! Angie is one of my biggest supporters (and the winner of the Love Session from my website launch week!) so I was thrilled when she contacted me to take pictures of her whole family while her brother was in town! We did the shoot at Bergey's Breadbasket so there were plenty of goodies to bribe the kiddos with during the shoot!
You didn't misread that title and I didn't misspell a word. This post is, indeed, about Honey. And Google Chrome. And online shopping. Intrigued? Read on!
