It's like the show Chopped! but for cocktails!

You guys know that I shoot events for the local philanthropic group, Beach Ambassadors.  Well, they've truly outdone themselves this time! This past weekend they held an event called Mixed. Five local bars agreed to compete in this event and each chose a charity to donate to if their bar won. They were each given a random spirit and mystery box of ingredients and they had to create a cocktail to showcase in the event. Each guest was able to drink each concoction from each bar and then they voted for their favorite.

As always, ALL of the proceeds from this event went to a Hampton Roads-based charity. The charity for this event was Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad, Rescue 14 located at the oceanfront in Virginia Beach. Seventy-Five percent of the proceeds went directly to them and the other twenty-five percent was set to go to the charity of the winning bar's choice.

The winner of the night was Croc's and their charity just happened to be VBVRS Rescue 14! If you're keeping up, they received 100% of the proceeds!

This group is continuing to do extraordinary things!! Follow them to be a part of contributing to local charities! Don't forget that every third Thursday of every month they host Martini's and Manicures at Eagle's Nest Virginia Beach and all of the proceeds to go to a different local charity every 3 months!
