This babe has been a literal God-send for me. We’re soul sisters because of our similar tumultuous pasts but our friendship has evolved into so much more!
If you want to figure out why you’re feeling unfulfilled in life, contact Tracy. I’m not exaggerating. You’ll thank me later.
It's almost time for Baby Owen to make his appearance! We switched locations and start time so we could avoid the rain to get these two in front of the camera with just a few short weeks left before Owen arrives. Samantha makes pregnancy look amazing and Corey keeps her laughing!
I’ve noticed a ‘trend’ lately. A lot of the women I follow...creatives, influencers, bloggers...mompreneurs of all sorts...are taking breaks from social media. They’re taking breaks because they’re exhausted. They’ve found that the lifestyle they inadvertently started portraying on social media is unrealistic to maintain. There’s this subconscious need today to make everything look perfect and trendy in order to stay ‘relevant’. Let me break it down in a couple of points...
We had the best light and the best weather for Stephanie's Bridal Session! Her wedding dress along with the fur wrap were perfect for the backdrop that is Regent University. Everything about this evening was stunning!
It's good luck to have rain on your wedding day, right? If that's the case McCall and CJ are off to a fabulous start to the rest of their life! It rained...and rained some more basically all day until after the ceremony. It poured during their ceremony but every.single.guest. stood out there with them with umbrellas to watch McCall and CJ commit themselves to each other. McCall's dad even held an umbrella over the couple during some of the ceremony!
Megan and Mike were getting ready right across the hall from each other at the Williamsburg Winery. Both rooms were electric with energy and anticipation. Mike was surrounded by his best friends who made sure he looked his best for Megan. Megan had a room full of bridesmaids and her mom and her makeup team, all making sure she was calm and that no stress fell on her as she got ready to walk down the aisle to Mike. Her dad and her did a first look and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
Laid back weddings where the bride just goes with the flow are always welcome! A storm was rolling in down in Kitty Hawk for Nick and Jessica's wedding. It was so windy that they had to move their ceremony from the beach to inside and they didn't skip a beat. The weather held out long enough to get amazing windy beach pictures after right after the ceremony. The pictures speak for themselves!
They say rain on your wedding day is good luck, right? Good! It rained it's heart out on Liz & Rob's Wedding day. But Liz didn't let it phase her. She remained calm all day. They ended up pushing their ceremony time back by about 20 minutes since their ceremony was outside. Their officiant had to be somewhere else and everyone panicked for just a minute. Then Liz's uncle came to the rescue! He marries people! If you ask me, it turned out to be a much more personal ceremony that way!
Jessica and Nick were a dream to work with at their engagement session! Nick is a firefighter so they had the idea to incorporate his turnout gear in some of the photos. I'm so glad they did this! It gave such a personal touch to their engagement photos. I can't wait for their wedding in July!
Last weekend I met Liz and Rob out at one my most favorite spots...Back Bay! They were so fun to photograph. They're so in love and they're not afraid to show it! I can't wait for their wedding next month!
Kerry and Tim just got engaged on Christmas Day! We had perfect weather for their engagement session. Kerry's friend made a sign for them and we used it during their session. I just love when personal touches are incorporated in sessions!
Jen and Stephan eloped in Italy but they weren't able to have a professional photographer. I was so excited when she asked me to capture some pictures of them back home! They got back into their wedding attire and braved the cold for our session. They're so adorable together...I absolutely loved having them in front of my camera. And Jen?? Oh my goodness girlfriend...you are freaking gorgeous!! This was one of my favorite sessions! Just take a look at the pictures and you'll see why!
Julia and I used to know each other a long time ago when we worked together. Our paths crossed again thanks to Beach Ambassadors. I was so excited when she asked me to take her maternity pictures. I was even more excited when I got to her house and saw the beautiful property that hers and Jon's house is on! Trees and water and a dock!
Motherhood already looks good on this mama!!
Kelsey and Kyle had such an amazing day for their wedding at Baja in Sandbridge! They traveled all the way down here from Pennsylvania to get married at Baja because they have brunch there every Sunday when they come to Sandbridge to visit each year. The love surrounding them was amazing! Not to mention that sunset!!
This wasn't too long after all that rain we had a while ago so parts of Back Bay still had considerable puddles of water. Thank goodness Kelsey's maid of honor came with us because she carried Kelsey over a couple of those puddles so we were able to use all of the locations out there!
We had such a perfect day for Megan and Mike's engagement session! The weather was great and the sunset was to die for! These two are seriously adorable and obviously head over heels for each other. I'm pretty sure you'll be seeing pictures from this session for a while! I can't wait for their wedding next year!
When I saw Katrina's Converse wedding shoes I knew it was going to be a good wedding! I'm a Vans girl myself but I love the fact that she just wanted to be comfortable on her wedding day!
I've known Greg and Ashley for so long...like almost 10 years! I was so so happy when they asked me to do their maternity session! Ashley is just radiating joy and the way Greg looks at her...gah!! Princess Acton is going to be one super loved little girl!
I have known Morgan for pretty much all her life! I was honored when I found out she wanted me to take her senior pictures! She's grown up so beautifully and I know she's going to do big things!!
We had to reschedule our initial session because it was just too damn hot out! We got lucky and found a cool(er) day sandwiched in between 96 degrees and rain! I'm so glad I got these little cuties in front of my camera!!
