You would think that after a week of sunny and 75 degree weather that we would have had a perfect day for this session. Nope! It was 50 degrees and windy and cloudy! Heather was a trooper though! She doesn't look cold at all!!

Heather is pregnant with her second baby...a little girl this time...and she is ROCKING this pregnancy! Just take a look for yourself!

You guys know that I shoot events for the local philanthropic group, Beach Ambassadors.  Well, they've truly outdone themselves this time! This past weekend they held an event called Mixed. Five local bars agreed to compete in this event and each chose a charity to donate to if their bar won. They were each given a random spirit and mystery box of ingredients and they had to create a cocktail to showcase in the event. Each guest was able to drink each concoction from each bar and then they voted for their favorite. 

When I shot my cousin's Anniversary Session last fall (you can see it HERE) she asked me if I could also take some pictures for a different reason...they are expecting their first baby!! I had to keep it quiet and it was so damn hard because I'm freaking excited for them!! At the end of their Anniversary Session they let the pups out of the car and brought out the little baby Chucks!

You guys! This was my first session in Downtown Norfolk and I have to tell you...I'm in love! There's a whole different side of Downtown that I never knew about!! I feel like we were transported to a different city all together! Not to mention these two are crazy about each other! Devin knew she wanted the sunset at Town Point Park in her pictures and she definitely got that! 

This post is about a month late but what better time to post a Star Wars themed party then the opening weekend of the new Star Wars movie?!

No matter what, you're never too old for a photo session with your mama!! These two came to me for a mini session and during the session I just knew a blog post was needed! There may be less pictures than I usually post but mama and daughter (and little Layla!) were just too gorgeous not to share!

I don't know about you guys but I had a fabulous Thanksgiving!! I was so happy to have ALL of my family in one place! Last year my Grandfather was in the hospital recovering from back surgery. This year he's recovering from another back surgery but it was a couple months ago so no hospital this year! Also this year I had my dude with me! (Last year was his dad's turn for Thanksgiving) I'm not going to write a whole lot here, I just wanted to share my pictures of my family!

I always feel like when a client says 'we're so awkward in front of a camera' that they're giving me a challenge. Challenge accepted! Not one picture from this session looks awkward! 

I was so happy to finally get her and Donny in front of my camera! They're just so perfect together...they balance each other out and they're so comfortable together. 

I explained the aspects of my new logo on Instagram as I revealed it in pieces but I'm going to recap here.

My parents wanted to take Noah and his two cousins to Hunt Club Farm this year to pick out pumpkins. We spent so much time at the petting zoo and pony rides and the hayride that we never made it to the pumpkins!

These two! Gah! They were worried about not knowing what to do because they had never had pictures taken before. They were naturals!! Seriously, whenever I would get ready to tell them to do something they were already getting ready to do it! They were constantly flirting and dancing...they're just so in love! I can't wait for their wedding next summer!

A couple weeks ago 16 people in my family packed up into three cars and drove down to Disney World. Yes, 16 people! And yes, we drove! We stopped a lot...three kids under 7 will cause that. Overall though, it really wasn't that bad of a ride. And here's why:

You saw Phoebe's hospital pictures, now see the whole family in their own home! They took on a lot in one week...having a baby, starting a new job, and moving to a new house! 

Her 4th birthday was January 29th. Noah and I made her a tiara-shaped peanut butter and banana cake. Then we spoiled her and let her eat it at the table!

Oh my gosh, ya'll!! I can't even with this session! Miranda is just gorgeous!! You can just see how much she already loves baby Legend!! I just don't have any words for all of the goregeousness!!

Goodness!! This should be the 4th installment but I haven't been able to post in a couple weeks...technical difficulties with the blog...gotta love technology!! Anyway!! Here are the little dude's pictures from several weeks of shooting! He gets bored easily so he only takes a couple at a time!

I think there is a bit of a misconception about Boudoir photography. I think that most women think they have to wear as little as possible to make these sessions what they are. This is soooo NOT true!! The beauty of Boudoir (pun intended!) is that as long as you feel comfortable with what you have on (or off) the outcome will be gorgeous! If you buy a thong and garter because you think that's what you should wear but you're not comfortable wearing it, it'll show. I can't stress it enough...you have to feel comfortable! If being comfortable means wearing your significant other's oversized sweatshirt then so be it!
